Premise

In My Spy: The Eternal City, JJ (Dave Bautista) finds himself reluctantly accompanying Sophie (Chloe Coleman) on her school trip to Italy. The duo must navigate the beautiful yet dangerous streets of Italy while thwarting the plans of the villains.

Production

Following the success of the original film on Amazon Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios and STXfilms began exploring a sequel in August 2020. The project was officially confirmed in February 2023, with Pete Segal returning as director. The main cast members from the first film, including Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Kristen Schaal, and Ken Jeong, reprised their roles. Additionally, new cast members Anna Faris, Craig Robinson, and Flula Borg joined the team. Filming commenced in February 2023 and concluded in Venice by May of the same year.
